For more info: www.bigappleherp.com The Sleepypod Air is an amazingly versatile travel dog carrier designed to comply with guidelines for several airlines. A wealth of features include adjustable width, support for strapping to the top of your luggage, and straps that allow the bag to be used as a car seat.
www.ezpetbarrier.com If you like going out driving with your dog and you need a way to keep him in the back seat, you need a pet barrier. There’s a lot of great pet barriers on the market, the only problem is that most of the are a pain to install, and many of them (including the most popular pet barrier sold from pet stores and amazon) are pretty much permanent, screwing straight into the roof and floor of the car. That’s why the EZ pet barrier was invented. The only pet barrier that installs in 30 seconds or less. Video Rating: 0 / 5
Question by Candj315: pet car seat crash tests? 10 points for best answer?
I have been looking to buying a new pet car seat (previously I have purchased the pet look out two but it turned out to be very un-sturdy and is now being used a bed in my house). The sleepypod is the ONLY one to have crash test ratings (which were pretty good) however Im not thrilled about its design or price. Anyone know of a good pet car seat that has crash test ratings? I have chihuahuas a harness alone is not enough protection especially because chihuahuas have a high rate of collapsed tracheas.
And please no negative comments. It is absolutely necessary that dogs are restrained and protected in the car.
regular crates have no padding on the sides like car seats so they can cause broken bones. Also in between the seats in the absolute worst place for a dog to be because those areas often compact in crashes (particularly side impact). On the seat in the SAFEST place for any living being in a typical car.

Answer by Clumsical ~Pooky is a Cannibird~ I think the easiest way to restrain a dog in the car is to either
a) for a smaller dog, crate it
b) for a larger dog, get one of those harnesses that you put on them that hooks into the seat belt so it’s basically like buckling them in to the car.
I assume what these pet car seats are are actually just crates. You don’t need crash tests, if you just get a crate that fits snuggly in between the front seat and the back seat, it isn’t going anywhere in a crash.
Also, no offense, but it’s obvious that the best answer is going to get 10 points.
ADD: I meant on the seat. A crate that, sitting on the seat, would be touching the backseat and the back of the front seat at the same time.
