Question by BoPeliniFan: When you take your dog out for a ride, is your dog in a booster seat or safety harness?
When I take my dog out to the park, she doesn’t know to sit still in the car. I know its dangerous to have a dog in your lap while you’re driving but I’m curious if there’s a method to keep your dog as calm as possible while its in a car? Do you have a booster seat or a harness which is attached to a seat belt? I don’t have a four door car otherwise I’d put her in there while I’m driving.

    Stolen Puppies Squeal to Safety

They’re too young to bark, but this plaintive whining did the trick and led police to their rescue. These 17 young pups were stolen from a pet store in Melbourne and stashed in this car. Police were alerted to the heist after a neighbor heard the pups’ persistent pleas for help, much to the relief of the pet shop owner. [Lyn Watson-Gust, Pet Shop Owner]: “It’s been a huge night for them but thankfully they are back to safety again.” Lets just say the stolen pups got their revenge on the thieves who locked them in the car. [Steve Robinson, Police Officer]: “There was an awful lot of dogs in there and they were just roaming around inside, chewing on the seat covers and doing what puppies do.” The yet-to-be-toilet trained pups caused quite a mess [Steve Robinson, Police Officer]: “We’ll be seizing the car and I won’t be driving it. We’ll be getting a tow truck. I certainly wouldn’t want to be sitting in that car.” Two people have been arrested and the puppies are now sleeping off their ordeal.

Question by ctmom05: Has anyone tried the Quick Finder Safety Nail Clipper for dogs – your opinion?
I have a dog and recently heard about an interesting pet care product.

Clipping a dog’s nails is quite a task for most of us. The Quick Finder is supposed to be able to detect the quick(blood supply) in the nail and has an indicator light to let you know when it is safe to clip.

I am curious to hear what actual users have to say; is it something worth buying?

if it works i’m first in line to buy one! both my dogs have black nails and im afraid to trim them myself for fear of cutting the quick….i take them to a groomer and have it done every two weeks, but that is getting expensive (8 dollars per dog twce a month)

i have never heard of this product, but i am googling it right now!

Question by jadeprincess82: Is it wrong to require full name and other important info on a yahoo group if it is a safety precaution?
I am a member of a yahoo local animal adoption and pet group. The owner is thinking about creating an application to be filled out which would require the members full names, addresses and phone numbers. The owner has had problems in the past with members adopting animals so they could sell them and believes it is in the animals best interest to require this info. Do you know of any other groups that require this and do you believe that it’s appropriate?
