Question by The Doctor: Hey, I’m going to take a PET scan soon….. are there any safety concerns?
I am going to be tested using the radioactive isotope C 11 raclopride…I am not sure on the dosage yet (should b quite low as it is just for diagnostic purposes) but I was wondering if there are any concerns with doing the PET scan with this isotope…. the half life is 30 mins and it is said to be expelled biliarily…does that mean that with certainty the isotope will not remain in my body?
thanks for all your help!
