Question by Lilliana: Cat lovers: how to make my cat feel less insecure in the car?
I sometimes drive my cat to my parents’ place (about 40 minutes away), and put her in a pet carrier on the seat next to me. She would meow about every 10 seconds, and looks to be kind of worried or insecure. I was wondering whether certain music would calm them down or maybe there’s some good ways to make them comfortable travelling in a car without being so scared?

Question by Lyric: Where can I buy a pet carrier for AirTran Airways that fits my 13lbs cat?
I’m traveling with my cat on AirTran Airways and need to find a pet carrier that fits their maximum dimensions (8.5″ height x 17″ long x 12″ wide). The bag needs to be soft as the cat is going underneath the seat. The bags that fit these dimensions I found can’t support his weight (13 lbs). Do you know of any? Thank you for your help!

Question by trojan: When traveling with a pet, such as a small dog or cat under 15/20 lbs, why do you have to be charged?
When traveling with a pet, such as a small dog or cat under 15/20 lbs, in an approved carrier that can fit under the seat in front of you, why do you have to be charged? Airlines charge anywhere between $ 85 to $ 100 each way and the distance traveled does not affect the price. Sometimes the pet fee is higher than the passenger’s ticket if it is a short fllight.
People with young children that sit of the adults’ lap fly at no charge.
People who have carry ons that fit under the seats in front of them are not charged even the carry on is the same size as the pet carrier.
People traveling with small pets are not being treated fairly by the airlines.

Legally, you can’t put anything under the seat. They don’t like to have pets on plant at all. Charge you big to discourage anyone who wants to carry a pet with them.
