How do I travel with Fluffy?

Question by comfortably numb: How do I travel with Fluffy?
I am going to be going away over the spring and summer and it will be necessary to take my 6 year old cat w/ me, the car ride will be about 4-5 hours. Should I keep him in a pet carrier, or let him just sit in the passenger seat? What about him eating and going to the bathroom, can he hold it that long if he is in a carrier? Any tips are very much appreciated!

Keep him in the carrier for your safety and his. Do not feed him before traveling. Keep a litter pan in the car and if you stop for lunch/dinner for more then 1/2 hr, then let him out to stretch, use the pan and give him a small meal or drink of water.

I show cats and they are fine travelling for 4-5 hrs to a show without eating. They eat when we get to the show.

Question by Dixie: Having difficulties finding a pet carrier that my cat can be comfy in but still fit under airplane seats. HEL?
I have a couple of carriers that they are comfortable in, but they are too big to fit under the seat…have two cats…need two carriers…one cat is 12 lbs and the other is close to 15 lbs…does anybody know of a carrier that would be big enough for each cat but still small enough to fit under the seat?

This is what I have now…trying to find something similar to this (love the quality and sturdiness of this)

Question by Tristen P: Pet animal safety? anyway you look at it, its annoying..?
So last summer my cats had really bad fleas. we used frontline and cleaned the house and used flea spray.

Winter came and the fleas just poofed and they were gone. well its march 1st and i have found 2 fleas on my legs. and one roaming on my kitchen floor….

my question is When do the flea’s come out of hibernation? i cant find anything on google.

is it at like november flea’s disapear or just the egg sit dormant until march or something?

well its still winter outside and very cold. if fleas get the slightest hint of a maybe warm weather they start hatching?
