Question by Dixie: Having difficulties finding a pet carrier that my cat can be comfy in but still fit under airplane seats. HEL?
I have a couple of carriers that they are comfortable in, but they are too big to fit under the seat…have two cats…need two carriers…one cat is 12 lbs and the other is close to 15 lbs…does anybody know of a carrier that would be big enough for each cat but still small enough to fit under the seat?

This is what I have now…trying to find something similar to this (love the quality and sturdiness of this)

Petco or Petsmart is the best place I’ve always found pet carriers. If you’re looking for something cheaper you might be able to find something in the newspaper or on Craigslist

I have a small car, lots of luggage which takes up the trunk and one person in the back seat. Should I put the dog in a carring case or have her in a seat belt. 13hr ride what would be more confortable for her she’s 20lbs terrier and hyper. A course we will stop for potty breaks from time to time.

Depends. I would put her in the carrier because then she’s confined and not bothering you while you’re driving. Either way it’s not going to be a fun trip for her. You can also by sedatives. Many people give them to their animals when they travel.

I moved my dog here from the US purchased the carrier online. There are several pet stores in Maadi/Degla – Road 9 and Road 233. I don’t know what Delta’s requirements are (I flew Northwest/KLM) as far as the carrier. Of course, my dog flew Cargo, which has an entirely different crate requirement – crate must be ventilated on all 4 sides. I’m sure it’s easier for under seat carriers. Unfortunately, I have not seen a good selection of pet supplies in most of the stores here. But try Pet House on Road 233 in Degla – they seem to have the largest selection around. Their phone # is 2516-27-05.
