Question by MiM: Are there any laws in California about driving with a dog in the passenger side of a car?
I like driving around town with my bulldog puppy with him in the front passenger seat of my car, but since he is getting so big now, he likes to sit in the back seat and stick his head out the window. I haven’t bought a harness for him in the car yet although I’m planning to, but he doesn’t disturb me while I’m driving. But I was wondering if there are any laws that prohibit dogs from riding in the passenger side of a car, or without any restraints, or any doggy in the car laws. Any good websites to see this information? Thanks for the help!

I don’t think there are but I would be careful about letting him put his head out of the window as it’s not good for their eyes and ears. Especially for catching foreign objects.
A car harness is a great idea though for his safety and yours especially if you’re in an accident he won’t fly about the car.

Hi there,
Does anybody have a good recommendation for a bench seat cover for our Subaru Legacy? We have an English Bulldog and are looking to keep our seats somewhat clean. Would consider a seat cover as well as hammock style covers.

Drs. Foster and Smith have a whole section of seat covers, in both styles, and their stuff is usually pretty good quality.

Question by animalsrgodsgifts: What kind of dog car seat should I get?
I have a English Bulldog he is almost full grown. He travels with me sometimes and I need something for him that will keep him restrained. I do not think he realizes his size and tries to climb upon my lap. If I put him on the back seat he want sit still because he wants to get upfront with me. He scratches the seats because he tries to climb over. Should I get some sort of dog car seat or one of those harnesses that attaches to the seat belt? I just do not know I have looked at so many online. Thanks

They make dog harnesses that clip into the seat belts.
