Question by Peek-A-Poo: My dog loves me but doesn’t like to go in the car he runs and hides when he hears my keys.?
My husband and I travel alot and our dog doesn’t like the car. We take very good care of him, love on him but he is a homebody. He is a small peek-a-poo and when we got him he had been in a kennel alone for 6 week because he was the last to go. We got him at 3 months, his health was not the best. After several trips to the vet he is in good health, and seems to have forgotten his earlier days.(we think) He is now 8 months old, and he trusts us with most everything other than car riding. He is secure in a dog seat, lots of breaks. We started out slow with the rides and didn’t just take him to the vet, we also just short rides, parks, and pet stores. 95% of the time we take him with us, but he is not happy about it. He shakes and will ignor me when I talk to him, I can’t seem to convince him that I will not let anything bad happen to him. We love him very much and this just pains me, I hate it when he is sad. Can someone give us some advice? Thank you Jim & Sharon

probaby because he knows that hearing the keys means that you are gng to leave and he doesnt wnt you leave
